Position: Club Director

Job Description: The Club Director oversees all operations and production at an elements club. This position is responsible for the implementation and supervision of all club revenue-producing functions, as well as regulations, rules, protocols, programs, activities, promotions, guidelines, and policies. This position is also responsible for approval of long and short term strategic planning, fiscal budgeting and methodology used in the creation of company manuals.

Duties:

  • Driving force behind the club
  • Develops and oversees the daily, monthly and annual budgets for all site locations. Reviews deposits and expenses with relevant staff daily.
  • Fosters growth of elements™ and is responsible for 85% of membership sales.
  • Acts as Educator of management team and staff.
  • Indirectly supervises all staff.
  • Determines final salaries, pay rates and pay increases for employment positions.
  • Develops and monitors a capital improvements budget
  • Approves the purchases of equipment, new programs, services, products, and large appliances.
  • Establishes and enforces employee policies.
  • Establishes and enforces member policies.
  • Establishes and monitors goals with Mangers and staff
  • Delegates responsibilities to Manager/Staff, and monitors accordingly regarding performance accountability.
  • Creates a nurturing, supportive image of the company within business community by participating in fund-raisers, charitable events and service on board of nonprofit agencies.
  • Responsible for continued growth, development, and refinement of all club activities, ensuring that business is conducted morally, ethically, and with the utmost of professionalism.

Job Requirements: At least three years of business management or professional experience (preferably in health and fitness management). BS degree in management or related field desired. Must have strong management background and leadership qualities.

Hours: Full-time position. Minimum 42-46 hr/week.

Position: Group Exercise Instructor

Job Description: Demonstrate ability to conduct energetic, upbeat and motivating professional fitness classes as listed on the class schedule. Good knowledge and understanding of cueing techniques and music is a must. Work in compliance with a 32-count phrase, appropriate pitch, upbeat/downbeat, etc.

Duties:

  • Implementation of branded classes and group fitness offerings.
  • Instruction of guidelines and choreography level appropriate for class format.
  • Ensure that classes are taught in a climate-appropriate atmosphere.
  • Conduct classes with the best interest of each member your priority.
  • Mandatory CPR. Maintain all group exercise certifications.  Stay current RE: safety techniques, choreography, music and new trends.
  • Ensure that music is appropriate for class format. Monitor pitch/volume accordingly.
  • Have knowledge of and promote all club activities, classes and contests.  Participate, and encourage members to participate!
  • Introduce yourself before each class and identify the class you’ll be teaching.  Read all announcements.
  • Ask if any new attendees are present and offer assistance or modifications as needed.
  • Arrive dressed professionally 15 minutes early.  Begin class on time with lights, A/C, and music set.  Welcome all.
  • Must attend mandatory Group Instructor meetings as scheduled 3-4 times per year.
  • Must be self-motivating, highly energetic and upbeat.
  • Must exemplify health, fitness and well-being. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate proper form and modifications.

Position: Lifestyle Consultant (Sales and Front Staff Members)

Job Description: The Lifestyle Consultant is the first point of contact with members and new guests. They are responsible for achieving and exceeding personal sales and performance goals. Lifestyle Consultant must demonstrate ability to be outgoing, motivating, enthusiastic and friendly at all times. Have a pleasant telephone manor, as well as office skills.

Knowledge of computers is essential, and they must be comfortable with presenting and selling memberships and fitness program options. Lifestyle Consultants will have a detailed knowledge of all programs, schedules, profit sharing centers and services. 

Duties:

  • Must be goal-oriented and driven.
  • Be conscious of prospects and renewals-- responsible for 15% of all membership sales.
  • Always display an upbeat and professional attitude.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, uniform, and nametag.
  • Educate staff regarding front desk activity – ensure that procedures are user-friendly, productive and efficient.
  • Required to meet daily sales goals.
  • Ability to diffuse problems - knowledge of suggestion box procedures.  Inform manager as necessary. 
  • Complete daily duties and action plans.  Participate in Lifestyle Coaching services, fitness programs.  Ability to promote and explain all elements™ activities and promotions.
  • Proficient in all jobs. May need to cover other positions.
  • Knowledge of all profit center tasks, new products- sell services and retail.

Job Requirements/Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Office, management or front desk experience preferred. Self-motivated, energetic, people-oriented, multi-faceted.  Background in sales and/or marketing a plus.

Position: Lifestyle Coach (Personal Coach)

Job Description: The Lifestyle Coach will demonstrate a well-rounded background in fitness, exercise technique, weight loss and supplements. The coach is a crucial position, as he/she interacts frequently with our best paying members. elements personal coaches must be outgoing, confident and motivated. A high degree of knowledge and current certification is a must. Select the best personalities, and coaches that live the elements™ lifestyle. Other staffing considerations are a desire for self improvement, self-motivated and seeking continued education. This individual must be available at all times to service, train and motivate members of elements™. 

Duties:

  • Familiarity with and ability to operate all equipment within the club.
  • Ability to demonstrate, educate and instruct members in equipment usage.
  • Ability to assess fitness levels and train members accordingly.
  • Supervise, motivate and encourage members to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for leading Total Body Workouts, private trainings, and fitness assessments completion of action plans and daily job duties.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling.
  • Participate in club activities and promotions.

Compensation/Job Requirements: Compensation varies based on hours worked and experience. Experience in fitness industry preferred and at minimum one certification required. Additional certifications are a plus. Individual should participate in an exercise program and demonstrate an understanding of the frequency, duration, intensity and advantages of both cardiovascular and strength training. One of the following certifications is required to be considered, in addition to the elements™ lifestyle coaching certificate:

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
  • The American Council on Exercise (ACE)
  • The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
  • The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
  • The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA)

Position: Kids Club Attendant

Job Description: Certain elements locations feature a Kids Club playroom area. Kids Club Staff are responsible for implementing playroom rules and Regulations.  Staff will ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times.  The Playroom will be supervised during all scheduled hours of operation.  Staff must enjoy working with children and provide a positive, nurturing environment at all times.

Duties:

  • The Attendant must greet mothers at the door and collect method of payment upon entry.  Must be approachable, friendly, and professional at all times.
  • Supervise all children during all hours the Kids Club is open.
  • Track membership status--either a receipt or punch card must be presented before services may be rendered.
  • Assist in other areas of the club as directed during slow times.
  • Must have knowledge of first aid kit and procedures, emergency policy/contact numbers and completion of incident reports.
  • Must be responsible for all policies and procedures of elements™.
  • Encourage moms to label children’s belongings.
  • Kids Club must be cleaned after each shift. Cleaning items must be stored safely and in adherence to OSHA protocol.
  • Kids Club Attendant must never change child’s diaper.

Job Requirements/Compensation: Pay to commiserate with experience. No experience required, but a plus. Staff must enjoy working with children and demonstrate skills including mediation, problem solving, and nurturing. Current CPR certification required, first aid certification preferred.

Hours: Part time position. 3-4 hours/shift, AM or PM. Membership included.
